"I'd like to ask people if there are things they'd like to see in a future campaign. I have several ideas going that I will use when I'm ready, but in the mean time I'd like to know if someone has things they think should be included in things like this. So... let's hear something. And remember, there are no stupid remarks, only stupid people."

Well I like having to figure stuff out. You know, sort of put clues together to figure out what i need to do. Of course i like killing things as well, but puzzling things are always interesting.

What about funny remarks and funny people? I agree with Billy, some mystery would be nice, perhaps a riddle or two to be solved from time to time. I also think it would be nice to add some specific side-quest for only a single character, that he has to keep secret from the others (this is easier with on-line campaigns - God bless PMs not to mention instant messangers). Also, I like epic battles, but in Rolemaster there were great rules for those - I'm not sure how it works in AD&D. Though, on-line it would be kinda slow. Btw, you're planning another campaign?

Yes, of course, funny remarks and funny people is always good. I forgot about that. I was trying to think of the things I liked best in the games I have played and it was the having to figure stuff out that I liked best. The stuff that makes you think.

I enjoy plotlines that bring the characters into the story on a personal level. It's all well and good to have the duke hire the PCs to go find a stolen artifact, for example, but it's a lot more fun when it's discovered that one of the PC's father was the thief, and that's why this group of characters was chosen for the quest. I also enjoy finding out things about my own character through the process of playing the game ... I always give permission for any DM/GM to fiddle with, add to, and play with my character background as he/she sees fit. I love having to improvise and adapt to sudden (and possibly disturbing) insights into my character that I, myself, didn't create. It adds a sense of realism. Perhaps its the softie in me, too, but I even like a touch of romance now and again -- something so rarely seen in normal "sitting at the gaming table" games. And yes, I like the good sideline plot centered on single characters, too ... and mystery ... and, of course, killing things. Oh, and I also enjoy games more when I know there's a real chance of losing (whatever form that might take). By the way ... who is running a campaign and what type of game is it?

Seems I got here last so there are no things to add to the list except to note that I like the riddles/puzzles to be solvable and not outright crazy (I don't suggest them being easy though) ... and no, this prequisist (sp?) is not as obvious as it seems since a reasonable riddle in a campaign is something that I rarely encounter ...

Something a little dark and brooding would be fun... with situations that aren't quite as they appear... character's you don't know if you can trust... an atmosphere you could cut with a knife...

Btw, you're planning another campaign? "Aren't I always?"
