Well, I have a Buffy roleplaying game-book, so if anybody is up for it I would like to make a little game. I havn't read the whole book yet for differnt reasons (read lazy) (so I can't just make a game in a minute, the lazy thing again).
If there is any more or less hardcore buffyfans in here I want you to buy the book, because it is not just a RPG-book. It is a Buffy-RPG-book and there by destined to be funny (and it is, very much so) and it is full of quotes.
ONLY READ THIS IF YOU ARE A BUFFY-FAN:
Buffy: Har--Harmony has mi--minions? Xander: Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction. Buffy: I'm sorry...I just...Harmony has minions! Xander: And Ruffles has ridges. Buffy, there's actually a more serious side to all this... Buffy: I sure hope so. I'm having trouble breathing.
(if any one who don't know who Harmony is you don't belong in this part of the message. For information: Harmony was a cheerleader/person a part of the Cordelia-gang in the three first seasons until the school was blown up because of a lot of explosives that also to care of a large snake which also was the mayor of Sunnydale.) Harmony (a person who always was part of a gang) now has minions somthing that is very funny. If you have come this far you either 1: have no life, 2: are interrested in Buffy, 3: started at the end of the message.

There's a buffy roleplaying game? What's that supposed to be like?
PS: I even know the episode that quote is in. I'm sick...

Well it takes place where and when ever you like. It doesn't even have to inclued a Slayer or anything. the system is called a uni-system, I havn't seen that used anywhere else. It is based on the Slayer world and it's pretty open how you wan't to play it. the system works best with an equal amount of fighting and using the Wacther skills(perhaps beating up Bob a little bit for information).
It's up to the players and the gm to figure out how to play it. Some may want to be Buffy or any other of the gang and play in our time. Some would like to do the "what if"-style, Buffy not coming to Sunnydale (ripoff). Some perhaps want to fight Spike (and die or escape(not bloddy likely)). Some may want ... other endless possiblities.
I will read the book a little bit more and return with more detailes about the whole rules thing-amabob

Oh oh, I'm interested, count me in ;D I'd buy the book if I had the finances to do so - it's on my 'I-want-it' list, but so far you're simply gonna have to explain things to me... condensed version please oh and Az... I do believe I've mentioned the Buffy RPG's existence to you before... Ahem seriously, if you decide upon running a game, I'd very much like to join. As for which kind of game I'd prefer? I dunno, whereas it could be fun to meet some of the familiar characters, I think I'd prefer the game to be located elsewhere (GM's pick) Let Buffy and the gang have Sunnydale to themselves and let's have a story that simply takes place simultaneously but in another location... Slayer appearances won't matter to me. After all how likely is it the one and only will show up at our place? Come up with a suggestion and let's have at it

It will be in a long time before I have read the whole book, but I have promised that my friend Kristian who is a "teacher" of the art of roleplaying (being gm for chrildren from ages 14 to 18) that I will read it and help him a bit.
And I would like to inclued very many differnt persons (mainly Spike) and to play in all the ages of time.
It will take time and but I will work on getting it the game on foot.

"I hear there's another Hellmouth in Cleveland..." Yeah.. they have a tendency to pop up when people (mainly me) see fit and where ever the players are or is going. But a sad news.... I have a lot to read: I have a book by Paul Auster(my big brother gave it to me and I "have to" read it), I have a Discworld thing (I have joined a 3rd edition D&D game set in Discworld (on Icewinddale forum(be very welcome to check it out))) and trying hard to fit in the Buffy book. And have to do it with one arm, at least until the 23rd... You think that it is not important when reading, Correct But turning the page and getting the next page and not the one after that, that's a bit of trouble. And do you know how long it took me to write this message, no you don't... But it took very long (actually it didn't take that long at all, but everything else does.)

It was done tuesday and it is coming along fine. There are somethings I am not able to do which is both good and bad. I really have nothing to do other than read and be in here (and the whole using only the left hand is much easier then I remembered (happened before just not the surgury) and I am going on holiday with no computer so the buffy book almost read when I get back, i hope.

Not to double post but more to make (force) people to see at the outskirts of the forum. I have my arm in full vigor agian and I have read all the buffy roleplaying books (almost) done by the end of this week.
There are many different ways to play the game, so I will come with some suggistions: Play in whatever time you want alot of choices. Play in a dimension very alike ours so there will be no interference from the series (I will make up some background when ever it is needed).
The Slayer thing I having a bit of incorparating difficulties, if there is one who play a Slayer it could be that person rule the game, because that is the main character.
I haven't made up my mind about bringing a Slayer to play, but it could be, but there will properly be outsidey talkage.
The thing is I will mostly leave it up to you player (if there is anyone and I'm not just rating on to the wall) to come up with the basic placing.
And please someone just post something (anything) so I can post again without being banned

Vesh, dearest, I think Slayers are supposed to be good you hardly qualify No worries about the doubley posties here. I'm not keen on the bannage when so few members come here. I'm still interested in this - make no mistake there I mean come on... it's Buffy

Well we got one player and one Big Bad in the form of Veshannatax, which is less than a group even if The darkness dragon can be turned, so sorry not yet.
But suggustions and inspiration for the time and place to play is still welcome. If anyone has any wishes: the first serious and good ones will perhaps (has a bigger chance then those that come later) be incorparated with some adjustments from my side. There will probably be some left of your wish, not much be some (it all depends on me and the quality of your wish.)
Please continue to post and spread the word so there will come more people here (force and annoyage is allowed).
