This was spawned randomly during Literature class - this is what happens when I look out the window for just a moment. I didn't even have to think all that much, it simply came to me - rhymes and all, and in sonnet form too Living Lies The clouds rest lightly on the wind And float across the sky The cold and des’late grayish tint Reflects the dreadful lie The lie that used to be my life But now has been unveiled The terror, sadness, guilt, and strife That always with me sailed Sailed from the place from whence I hail And furthest from that point Now in success or if I fail Our journey still is joined Though life can bring both joy and happiness The lies will follow too – no more, no less

Really nice, Jem. I like when poem has rhymes, but I love sonnets. As for the words simply coming to you, a great feeling, isn't it?

I also love sonnets. Great piece Jem. It's great when the inspiration suddenly just raises its head and gives you the whole lot, isn't it! I wish it would raise its head in my direction occasionally.
