With Time, they say, all wounds will heal, but I Have seen some wounds that Time will never heal, They grow and fester and might make us die, For mending over Time they never will. And Time itself can cause the vilest harm When it makes paths diverge and cross at will Our lives are strung and wound like new-spun yarn And can, like yarn, be torn to useless frill. As people grow and change along their way Some things can warm their hearts and some can chill, Some things are soon forgotten, some things stay, Those that remain may either wound or heal. We can but strive to conquer what we meet Along the road of life under our feet.
