Snow I
Snow still falls gracefully silent, covers the landscape in a muffled whisper of beauty white in the dark light in the dark trees outlined in white stand as gleaming monuments to a summer long forgotten black silhouettes tower above the white ground snow squeaks as footprints are made soon all tracks are covered all traces are erased evidence of the passing is silently covered for the snow still falls gracefully silent
***********************
Snow II
Snow still falls tumbling and whirling halting everything it hurries along with the harsh winds at its back slows the people slows the traffic the world in ‘snow-motion’ behind the blurred vision through the dense fall a white blanket curtains the world curtains the neighbouring houses special privacy clad in white in white howling winds the cold bites the snow blinds because it falls fast tumbling and whirling
***************************
Snow III
Snow lies still solemnly silent majestically immovable it muffles the world. White and pristine, the chilled layer provides enchantment. Magical silence enthralls anyone venturing into this realm of white, an endless sea of idyl with shoals of calm, waves of peace. Thoughts may stray prompted to fly high and far above and beyond the earth's boundaries blurred by blinding whiteness for still the snow lies solemnly silent.

No you didn't make it sound silly. It sounds nice, but no I couldn't see the snow. What I could see was that no matter what happens nature/life continues. It doesn't stop for us. LOL, isn't it interesting the way that different people get different messages from the same poem.

Wow, someone read something in my poem I didn't even think about when writing it... Cool I'm improving. YAY! ;D It came to me this winter when I was looking at the snow outside my window. I made a simple attempt at capturing the beauty of the moment. It seems I captured more than just that

LOL, Jem, I always get things other than what's intended from poetry. It's embarrassing sometimes. But I just read it again and i think you do capture the beauty of the moment. It is a very soothing poem. It's hard for me because we don't get snow here and I've never seen snow falling so, I guess that's why I don't visualise it as much - nothing to relate it to.

OMG You've never seen snow fall like that?!?!?!?! Get up here and meet me in January or February sometime (yeah, like you'll have time with school and all) I'll arrange for snow with the weather Gods I guess it would be hard to imagine if you've never seen it. Next week when I'm home again, I'll scan a few pics I have of our garden in winter. They should show you what I mean

Ha! Time wouldn't be a problem because we have our summer holidays then and i would love to get up there and meet you, especially if you could arrange the snow, but it's money that's the problem, LOL. I never have enough. Maybe one day when I'm old and grey, I'll come visit you and we can walk very slowly together through the snow. I think that's about when I will be able to afford it. But I would love to see the photos! So please do scan them. Btw, I have seen snow, but I have never seen it fall.
