Well here i shall post mass' of short stories that i shall go about writing down after createing them daily.
so here would be my first.
Decaying Angel:
Austin looked down at his fist, covered in blood his fingers wrapped around the small trinket. The ring that he knew all too well. He was lying on his back bleeding uncontrollably onto the concrete sidewalk. People walked by not taking notice of his sharp intake of breath. He could not scream, he could not talk, and he had no care to live any longer. The one he loved had killed him. Every person he knew and loved had left him there to die. He stared up at the sky, the stars twinkling innocently. No one knew of him just lying there losing life through blood pouring out of his broken heart. He closed his eyes imagining himself holding her so tightly never wanting to let her go. He squeezed the ring and again it tore through his skin but no more blood was left to spill from his wound. It seemed like an eternity lying there. Watching lives continue like nothing had happened. Like his love and life meant nothing to anyone anywhere. Upon his dying breath his hand loosened and the ring fell from his grasp. His head slid to the side and blood spilled from his open mouth. He was dead, his life and his blood had left his body. Several hours went by and still no one came to rescue him. Though a man soon stumbled through the streets, crying the man fell to his knee’s he looked up to the sky and tears streamed down his cheeks. He screamed to the heavens,
“WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO ME?”
He looked at the ground whispered,
“please give me something so I may save myself from my torment”
He stood again simply to fall once more to the ground. His hand landed upon something small and round. Picking up his hand he saw the ring, still warm from the hold it had been in and still covered in blood. The man just looked at it wondering why it was there and what had happened for someone to lose such a beautiful object. He grabbed it and sat up, out of the corner of his eye his saw Austin’s corpse. Jumping he fell backwards in horror at the sight. He sat for what felt like hours just staring at the body unknowing what to do. Building up the courage to move he crawled forward to Austin and saw a cloth around his wrist. He didn’t know what to make of it but felt he had to look. He placed the ring on the ground and grasped Austin’s wrist. Lifting it up he unwrapped the cloth from him and pulled it away. Looking at it not knowing what he was looking for he felt something wrapped deeper inside it. Unfolding further something fell out, a picture and a note. The picture showed a beautiful woman, she had dark green eyes, shoulder length dark brown hair, and a smile that could bring laughter and tears to ones heart. Turning it over he saw something scribbled on the back, it read,
“Emily, The girl that my heart sings and cries for. The girl that no one understands. The girl that I would die for…”
The rest of it was smudged and drenched in blood. He picked up the note and read it.
“Dear Austin.
I need to talk to you, like now! Please come to the rink and find me. Its more important than you could possibly know.
Save me…”
The note too trailed off as if it hadn’t been finished. He looked down at Austin and sighed,
“I know what you’ve gone through, though I’m not dead I can imagine we’re on the same boat.”
He took the ring, the picture, the note, and the cloth and placed them in his pockets. He got up and looked around, it was almost midnight and no one was near by. The man knew he had to alert someone of the body so he might be found and buried. So he walked down the street and found a gas station that was still open. Walking inside he went over to the counter and found a clerk with his back to him while resetting his watch.
“Excuse me, I need to borrow a phone.”
The clerk turned around and gasped,
“WHAT THE HELL!?”
The clerk pointed in horror at the man. Looking down he saw himself covered in blood. He looked up and breathing quickly he ran from the building.
He ran as fast as he could to absolutely nowhere. Not knowing where he could go he just ran. He turned down an alley way and looked back, no one was following him. He slowed down and stopped, bending down and trying to catch his breath. Looking up slightly to see where he was all he saw was Austin. He jumped once more. He was sure he ran in the wrong direction to get back here. But surely enough he was standing right back where he started. He heard footsteps behind him so he began running again, past Austin’s lifeless body. He ran as fast as his legs would carry him, out onto the street and down another alley on the opposite side of the street. Not Stopping he kept running but his foot snagged on something on the ground. He fell hard smashing his face onto the concrete. With his tears of pain and the blood now streaming from his nose he turned to see what had tripped him. In horror he jumped up and ran, yet again leaving Austin’s corpse behind him. He was scared now. He didn’t know how that could be he knew for sure that he had run away from that alley way. There was no logical reason to how he found it again twice no less. He ran on deciding to not run down anymore alley’s. He ran through the streets still he saw no one, though the sounds of footsteps pursued him. He felt a sharp pain in his side and fell to the ground. It felt like he was on fire, he through off his coat and from his pocket fell the ring. The blood still fresh upon its band shimmered in the moonlight. He again looked up and knew what he would see. He saw again the corpse of Austin, lying in the street where he knew it could not have been seconds before. He eyes widened as fear and amazement exploded through his body. For he watched as Austin stood from the ground he walked over to the man and bent down.
“death…life…love…hate.”
The man felt no breath from the dead man before him, but deep in his heart he felt a cold merciless pain. Tears of blood fell from his eyes as he looked upon Austin.
Austin looked right into the mans eyes and said,
“You fear me…but your pain of love drives you on. You fear death…but your sorrow allows no such end. You fear that the love inside your heart is nothing more
than torture and agony for a soul like yours.”
Austin reached down and grabbed the ring from the ground,
“This is my burden. This is to remind me of the sadness I kept in my heart for all my life. This is what brought about my death. You need not meet such an end nor
a continuation such as mine. Go to her…”
Austin pulled forth the picture of Emily. He handed it to the man and stood up.
“Eternity calls for my sorrow to be felt inside my broken heart for all time. In oblivion I will dwell till time stands still and love is lost by all. You are to live. To love
further. Go to her, tell her of my death. Save her from my end.”
Austin turned and began to walk away. The man jumped up and yelled after him,
“What happens tome now?”
Austin stopped and without turning back he said to the man,
“Remember love to forget loss. Forget death to remember life. Remember this night and remember me. Forget your torment as to help Emily forget hers”
Austin took several steps and vanished. The blood on the mans coat was gone but the cloth and the picture remained. The note was blank, its words only remembered by the man. He sat there and took in the words of the dead man. He would never forget that moment. Nor would he forget his pain. But he suddenly felt a longing and a love towards Emily, even though he had never met her. He looked at the picture, and he once more turned it over and found that the note on it had finished. The last words on the picture were,
“The girl and the man, watched over and loved by the Angel of Decay…”
so here would be my first.
