If you want to enter a game, post here. I'll answer all your questions asap, as well as guide you to an open spot as soon as such a thing appears.

Hmmm, that's three more players...
All right, I'll set up a game for you:
Verno NoRemorse DDH
There's room for one more, but three will do as well.
NoRemorse. You only need the regular d6 to roll your stats. All the rolls with weird-shaped dice throughout the game will be rolled by me. Just follow my instructions in the 'Basics of Cthulhu' and you should be well on your way to play the game.

then i was looking for the call of Cthulhu game and i found a book but i wasn't sure if it was the right one is there only one version of cthulhu?

No, sadly one version does not quite do it. I'm running Chaosium's Sixth edition Call or Cthulhu. Should it be the Fifth edition you've found - don't fret. 5th and 6th are mostly compatible with only very few and small changes in the Skills department. Be aware that the 5th and 6th edition books have the same cover art (blue with some conical shapes and Dread Cthulhu in the background) It could be you've found Wizards of the Coast's d20 version. It should be clear from my char creation that I'm not using the d20 system

The book is a collection of stories not the roleplaying game. You should buy the book, it is set in the 1920 which is where the best call is played and there really is a "good" (creepy) feel to it..
Okay it all roleplay depends on the Keeper, Highpriest, DM but it is the coolest age to play in.

Jem... Any chance in the future of running another n00b campaign. I haven't got the full gist of it yet but from what I've read so far its macabre enough to be right up my alley...

Hmmm I hadn't planned on running a n00b campaign in this setting. However, I plan to make all the rolls myself anyways, so just writing it in the post when I've made a roll that I can allow you to know about shouldn't be a problem.
None of my other players have been intensely familiar with Call - most of them not at all. But it's fairly easy to get into so no worries.

Well, I just read the "Basics of Call" and it seems interesting (and mostly RP-based) so I would be interested in participating in a newbie campaign ... I didn't get some stuff (especially what is that mythos thing ...), and I don't know anything about the game's background, but I guess that can be ammended ... right ?
